Xinhan Yu Featured in "Un-palinodic Recurrence" at Purist Gallery

Purist Gallery, 114 King's Cross Road, London - July 2025

We are excited to share an update on artist Xinhan Yu, whose work was featured in the "Un-palinodic Recurrence" exhibition at Purist Gallery in London this July.

Yu's piece, "Rusty River" (2025), is a video work that unfolds a virtual riot on screen. Rendered in raw, game-engine graphics, the piece is described as "glitchy, blood-red, swarmed with identical crowds of police, white-suited 'medics', tanks, and bunnies."

The work is characterized as a "feral dream of repetitive state control, violence, and rebellion," creating an experience that is at once "absurd, grotesque, and terrifyingly familiar." Xinhan Yu continues to explore complex themes with a powerful and contemporary visual language, making this past exhibition a significant event for collectors and enthusiasts following their artistic development.
